What is the difference between an EAP and CU Health?

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a work-based intervention program designed to assist employees in resolving personal problems that may be adversely affecting the employee’s performance.

Traditionally, EAPs have assisted workers with issues such alcohol or substance misuse. Today, EAPs cover a much broader range of issues from child or elder care, relationship challenges, financial or legal problems, wellness matters, and workplace violence. The primary focus of an EAP has been mental health and serviced over telephone.

CU Health provides multi-disciplinary health and wellbeing services focussed not only on mental health, but on health care in its entirety. It can be described as the next evolution of work-place healthcare.

We believe the best model of care is one that combines clinical expertise with personalised empathetic and confidential care. Your employees are looked after by a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including GPs, Psychologists, Performance Coaches, Dietitians and Health Coaches, who work collaboratively to achieve sustainable improvements in mental and physical wellbeing.

CU Health offers telehealth appointments, on any device, and accommodates the employees HCP of choice for their appointments.
